HowTo: Completely Uninstall Digsby Beta?

Uninstaller does not seem to remove digsby entirely

The main core of the program is uninstalled- application files, DLLs, &c.

Any files that are created after install are not removed (in the event that you re-install the program, all your cached files, settings, logs, etc) are still present.

There's nothing in the registry, but there are probably still files in c:\program files\digsby (or wherever you installed to), as well as in your user folder. All of these files are safe to delete after you've uninstalled digsby.

User folder location on WinXP/2000:
c:\Documents and Settings\(your username)

On Vista:
c:\users\(your username)

Once you've found your user folder, you'll need to find the digsby folder in the app data and local settings folders. From your user folder (as above), these are at:

WinXP/2K:
Application Data\Digsby
Local Settings\Application Data\Digsby

On Vista:
AppData\Digsby
AppData\Local\Digsby
(actually I'm not confident about these paths on Vista, since i'm not a vista user)

Is all of my contact data saved on your servers? like custom alias for contacts etc

indeed it is.

What we can store on the servers of the service, we do (AIM/ICQ for example). However some services don't support aliasing contacts except at the client level, so digsby stores it in your user data on our servers.

we don't really have a system for that in place right now... though i bet you could have jeff do it manually... i'll point him over here and maybe he can figure something out for you.

The easiest way to clear your account is by logging into digsby and deleting all of your accounts from the accounts pane. This removes all of your sensitive data from our server.
