POP Email - Open URL instead of mail client !

Hi

I do not use an email client to check and answer mail. I suggest to add the possibility of having the POP email functionality open a specific URL instead of a mail client.

In other words when I click Inbox or compose and so on my browser should open to the URL specified in my POP Email settings.

Could that be possible?

I was going to write that you could remedy this with a shortcut, but then saw that this doesn't actually work.

I'll add my vote for interfacing to a URL so I can access the webmail interface to my mail account rather than running a desktop app!

this also needs to have the 'option' of opening a desktop application or a webmail interface...

All of the settings for POP email accounts are specific to their account except for Mail Client, which appears to be set globally any time it is changed for any POP account. For those that have multiple POP webmail accounts or don't want different accounts going through the same channel (e.g. separation of work and personal), I think it would be better to have independent Mail Client settings per POP account.

Would this be better? Is there something I'm overlooking? Or maybe the current behavior is just a bug / oversight?
