when using facebook, memory jumps to 50MB and stays there even when you disable it. also, when i exited digsby with an IM open with two tabs, it asked if i wanted to close the tabs, i hit yes and both tabs stayed there and digsby would not close, had to end the process for it to stop.

I'm also experiencing the RTL bug which causes Digsby to render horribly wrong. I've sent a bug report, and a screenshot explaining the matter is here: http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/8853 … sbyed4.png
This makes the new version of Digsby completely unusable for Israeli (and Arabic) users. If this gets rolled as an auto-update, many users are in for an unpleasant surprise. Please don't release it before squashing this bug. Thanks.

I have just installed the new test and it seems to be running better but not as good as some of the others are saying.
It is about 22MB when minimized and it spikes up to about 47MB at when running the interface open.
I guess I will just have to keep an eye on it.
BTW... I use it for Yahoo/MSN/ICQ/Google/Facebook chat, Hotmail/Gmail/Yahoo mail and Twitter/Facebook social networks.
Cannot wait to see more of this program as it develops!

I have an old pc, an athlon with 512 megs of ram (just athlon, not even an athlon xp). The test version works incredibly well, I'm amazed and grateful. The only problem I found is in using skins - some of them show the default skin on some buttons.
This release is wonderful.

Had 10 emails and every IM packed into Digsby. Once it spiked to 310 MB. Hasn't since then but it was scary. It's staying at about 44MB with the test release.

It seems like there is a bug with network connections that has caused a few people's Digsby to leak RAM like crazy. We will fix this before releasing. We will also fix the RTL issue and the VC++ issue. The reason for the VC++ files is we temporarily included the redistributable. We will push the final release without it.

I read on MSDN that Visual C++ 2008 Redis. SP1 will fix that funk droping problem. Also, anyone know why Digsby causes my explorer.exe to use 7-9% cpu usage?? Will try a clean install to see if it happens again.
same thing happens to me, which is why I switched to pidgin, it hasn't done it ...yet on this new build. The odd thing is I can use it for days then out of the blue it starts doing that no matter what whenever I have it open. But for the first couple days its fine.

My sys info: Windows Server 2008 x64 SP1 E8400 @3.6Ghz / 4Gb Ram
Here are some thing that don't happen with early builds:
1. CPU load for explorer.exe while digsby is running: 7-10% (causes lag in some games) 2. When the buddy list appears from auto hide the CPU jumps to 15-25%

i'm experiencing the huge memory leak that was mentioned earlier in this thread regarding connection issues.. i'm currently running Digsby at over 400MB right now!!! while i can't pinpoint the actual cause, i've noticed it happened both times when i've left it open without activity long enough to put me on idle.. i'll see if turning off "let others know i'm idle after xx mins" fixes it..
and the bug report is taking quite a long time...
also, while it is known that VC++ caused the file dump in my root C:\ directory, any word on exactly what we can do about those files? safe delete/move/temp solutions/wait till next build to auto-delete them?

the new release is way better. it's faster, and it's perfect for old computers like mine. did not encounter any errors yet, but i did not have any from the last release. the only thing i have to report is the improved performance. i can't wait for the full version.

Installed it yesterday and left it running while I put the notebook to standby (thats typically when it decides to freeze up upon return). So far its running smoothly. More emoticons if anyone has any idea as to where I can load more of em (....thats actually a very childish request but its too late now!)

I am catching some glitches and errors with customizable themes and emoticons with this. I dunno if this is something that would've been a general issue with the beta or if its an issue with the new release since I'm just trying it now.

I am surprised the bug I described in http://forum.digsby.com/viewtopic.php?id=1663 hasn't been fixed. A chat program should show when your buddies come online, I hate having to look manually in the buddy list to see if the person I'm waiting to sign in has actually signed in.
