I don't know what version you have. You'll have to check your version number (Help -> About Digsby) against the changelog timeline.

just installed alpha and I put that special tag.yaml file in the digsby folder, but is that it? are you sure I don't put it in the "lib" or "res" files!?!? or do I just leave it in the digsby folder where the uninstall icon and such are?!?!

Leave it in the root digsby folder. I know it looks strange but it works.

It's also pretty easy to find that way.  Not in some hidden user folder, not inside "lib" w/ a bunch of other files.

Hopefully, this sets the bar just high enough to weed out the people who really shouldn't be alpha testers.

I'd've liked to set the bar higher, but then we wouldn't have gotten the number of alpha testers we wanted.

closed topic w/ link == punBB doesn't have merge.

okay, okay, i'll put it there myself, lazy bones!

First, download Digsby from by clicking on this link.

Then, to become an alpha tester, just d/l this file and put in the root digsby folder (typically C:/Program Files/Digsby)

No alpha update for quite a while now. What are the plans?

From what I've heard, later this week or next week should be the next update.

I've had about the same experience. Love the new default theme, and the alpha seems to be working perfectly for me.

I downloaded the file and put in the digsby folder but it does not seem to update to the newest alpha.  It just says in help about that I have build 22564.  How can I force the update to the newest Alph?

I give up on Digsby.  We will never get Skype therefore it is unusable for me.

What's the point in a client incorporating Skype when it requires you to have Skype running at the same time anyway? Given your stupid comment I'm guessing Skype must be all you use and therefore why would you want to use a multi protocol client anyway.

In case you didn't notice carbonise, the idea is to have everything in one place.

Facebook chat in digsby still requires facebook chat to be running in a background browser window.

People have every right to be upset about the lack of Skype support in digsby.

it has been promised for so long now and it appears not a thing has been done to bring it to fruition.

Facebook chat may require Facebook to be running in the background it is only running inside Digsby and not a seperate application. To use Skype voice requires the entire Skype program to be running which makes the whole point of using Digsby for it pointless.
