showing contacts client name in the contactlist or user info

this should be the thread for the digsbies.org wishlist
for the named feature request.

would be cool if the remote client name is shown...

The msn/icq/whatever icon that's in the corner of the user's avatar isn't enough?

would like to know what client (trillian, icq or digsby etc) is used ;-)

it should be possible on AIM/ICQ... dunno about anything else though

On GTalk/XMPP it already shows the resource, which 99% of the time is the client that they use. It won't distinguish between Trillian and another XMPP client unless they happened to set a meaningful resource identifier, but it always distinguishes between gmail, gtalk, etc.
