I have a nerd/tech blog. Not much of a "show off" though, as I haven't bothered to even change from the default WP theme, hehe ... I do have a personal, real life blog as well in cartoon form, but it's in Norwegian.

Edit: Oh, and of course there's always digsbies.org smile

@eia:
nerd/tech blog- It's definitely a cute blog and has some well thought out posts.  I'd say you should think about switching themes from Kubrick though, or at least customizing the colors (which is built in for that theme!)

Cartoon- I wish I could read it, looks cute though.

Digsbies- The minimilistic theme looks really sharp.  All around it's a pleasing site to browse.  Obviously it could use some more content and downloads, but with Digsby itself being so new, can't really fault you ;]

@Jeter
Business site- The layout is a bit generic.  Otherwise it is easy on the eyes and does look nice.  I appreciate any design site that does not use stock photos of smiling models (god, web hosting companies are criminals in that dept).  Good luck on your venture :]

Thanks. Yes, it's a little generic but quite honestly, I'm more of a coder than a designer smile

I help run a student based website for ordering food, doesn't cost anything, 10% of the proceeds gets donated to a cancer charity. You type in your zip code, and a list of local restaurants show up. It is much easier, because rather than calling the place on the phone and ordering, you can just select the items from their full menus online, and type in specific things you want on it, etc.

http://www.BergenMenus.com

You must live in Bergen County, New Jersey in order to use it.

More counties will be added eventually.

[It's geared more towards college students.]

--------

On the other hand, I have designed a type of marketing-type of website. http://www.EarnGiftsFree.com.

No, it's not a scam. Just check it out for yourself.

I am a Freshman in College.

I've used that theme on a project - is twicet from themeforest.

Not that you can't leave it the default gray, but that version of the theme is intended as a template. You could easily add a background image or gradient to dress it up a bit.

Blogs are good. The first one should think on the template. The second generally done well, and even promoted PR.  smile
