URL to open IM windows

Will there be any additions adding support for opening a new instant message to a person via URL? For example:

aim:goim?screenname=Username&message=Hi.+Are+you+there?

I am guessing many of us are users of other forums, and being able to click these URLs make it easy to contact people with the various IM protocols.
