A small feature that would be useful...

When hovering over buddies who are offline, it would be nice to have a "Last seen: " feature so we could know when the last time that person has been online.

I agree, even if the data can only be pulled from local cached data.

I concur that would be handy.

small feature, this is one of my number 1 Feature! I hope we can see it in coming releases....

How is 'Last seen' ambiguous?  What else could that mean?

Last seen stealing kittens from a pet store?
Well, if people actually thought this, I'd be surprised if they could turn their computer on.

Just wanted to add my support for this feature.  It's such a small thing, but I used it so much with Pidgin.

i like the idea. it would have been helpful the other day when i was cleaning up the old buddy list. from 220 contacts to 60. i was relaying on the profile and icon cache to see if they still used their sn.

I am not exactly sure what good could this be upto, coz its ambiguous. Not quite in the sense as jacob above has put it, but ambiguous all the same. For the reason, that at best this could tell when a certain person was online, while the user was online. I don't think why that feature would be added in addition to the notification feature. Something  I would like would be the knowledge when the person was last online, irrespetive of my online presence or absence. For instance, suppose in the day i am logged into digsby, but at nights i switch off my computer. Suppose I had an online appointment regarding something sometime early in the morning, i missed thgat coz I didn't get up that early. When I switch on my system, I would  like to see till how recent was the person was waiting for me, so that if I just missed him by seconds, I probably could still catch up by sending a text or something.
This would be a useful feature, but this is not a feature to ask Digsby to implement. Such a feature request would be more apt if placed to some protocol, like Google or Yahoo!.

I think you need to think of it not as when the contact was last online, but when the contact was last seen by you.

Last Time Seen != Last Time Online

This would be helpful to me. +1
