Chat - One window, multiple people?

I'm surprised this isn't on the request list somewhere.  Currently I can chat with a single user per window.  Yahoo and MSN both support adding many users to one chat session.  Seeing that I use this in a work environment sometimes, this would be a really useful feature to have.

Thoughts?  Already on the list and rolling out at some point?  Am I way off base?

Seen "group multiple conversations into one tabbed window" in tools - preferences - conversations or am I way off base?

hes talking about a chatroom, but basically being able to dynamically make it from a private chat with one person, to mutltiple people.

We basically know very little about time frames, but atm the devs are focusing on bugs and not new features. After most of the bugs are gone and digsby has been somewhat optimized, we'll get more new features At least that's what I've snapped up browsing the forums and hanging on the IRC channel.

I really want to use Digsby as my only IM client, but this feature is a requirement for me.  We have group conversations over MSN at work.  This is made more annoying by Microsoft's decision to not allow the official Live Messenger software to run on XP Pro x64, which is what I'm using.

This has consistently been in the top 3 Weekly Wishlist for weeks now

Digsby NEEDS THIS, I had to download msn just to chat with my friends I was extremely surprised digsby can't do this. This is a basic feature any client should have.

Registered specifically to bump this thread.  This is the only feature actually keeping me from uninstalling Pidgin at the moment.

I also use chat at work - we have an internal Jabber server with a surprising number of chat rooms that I am in continuously.

I also use IRC chat rooms, but I noticed that was another feature request.

One windows with multiple tabs sounds like a great idea.  AIM mutation does that.  Would you want one windows for each type of IM client or just one windows to rule them all?

Is this feature still not implemented? My younger brother asked me for it, and I couldn't help him find it :S

No it's not.. yet. It's really the most fundamental feature missing and supposedly it has gotten higher in the to-do list so we'll see it soon.

I would really like to see this feature added to Digsby.
