The fact is many people DO use operating systems older than XP. As a computer tech I see lots of people using older computers running 98 or ME. The fact is XP will not run smoothly on a PC with a 350 Mhz processor or 256 MB Ram.

also, XP ran better than 98 on my old 400Mhz PII with 384MB RAM, it doesn't do too badly on the 433Mhz Celeron 256MB we've got in the office and 98 isn't capable of running smoothly on anything.

<rant mode> It's like a car salesman (read: Microsoft) telling me my 10 year old (and perfectly well functioning) car is obsolete and should be replaced with something new. I'm afraid I have to disagree with mister salesman on this one. </rant mode>

On another note: I am one of those people who run Win2K on a 500MHz 256Mb Pentium 3. I can't (or won't for that matter) see myself run XP or W7 on my pc.

Recently, I downloaded and installed Digsby (build 75). Upon launching, nothing happens. Digsby appears in the task manager for a brief moment (1 or 2 seconds) and that's it. So I downloaded the lot again, and again. Still nothing.

Anyone?

Working OK on my Win2K (SP4), 700MHz, 256MB RAM.
I don't get pop-ups though, so I just open it from the system tray to check for latest posts.

This is the correct behavior on win2k.  They don't work correctly on win2k, and since we don't officially support win2k, they are disabled.
