Digsby is great! One thing I miss from my old IM client, however, is the ability to encrypt conversations, file transfers, etc. Encryption is the major feature missing from Disgsby in my eyes.
Thanks!

This could be a good feature, although it's not much use if the person you're communicating with doesn't have an encrypted connection.

Right, but if both people were using Digsby, then it would be encrypted.

I don't know how high this is on our to-do list, but it's something I would like to use as well. More than that though, I think it would be fun to make
how to report a bugGot an idea for a feature? put it on the wishlist!

This is an important feature for me as well. Among the people I know, OTR seems to be the standard for encrypted conversations. http://www.cypherpunks.ca/otr/
Since so many other clients support OTR, and it is supposedly the best encryption protocol, an implementation of this in Digsby would be very useful.

Password encrypted chat history would also be nice.

I completely agree. I'd love to see OTR built in. It's the most cross-platform instant message encryption protocol out there, so it seems to me to be the most obvious to add in to Digsby.

I add my vote too! I voted on the wishlist, but the lack of OTR or some other encryption method is the one and only thing that keeps me from moving to Digsby from Pidgin. Otherwise, I think it's a far superior program!

I also voted on the wishlist.
I'm sorry to say I'm moving back to Pidgin until this supports encryption.
Encryption is becoming a must in todays world.. Please implement OTR!

In fact it works with any IM client that supports OTR.
As has been mentioned before Pidgin is my current client of choice, purely for the fact that I know my messages are securely encrypted.
As pretty as Digsby is, its prettiness serves no purpose to me if my messages are being read by someone other than the person I sent it to!
I have voted for this feature to be implemented into Digsby.
Peace Duke

+1 here. definitely would love to have some sort of non application specific encryption that can work with digsby, pidgin, trillian, and hopefully the official clients, too.
