Spell Check

I wold realy like a spel cheker pleese.

All kidding aside, it would be pretty awesome to have that. Pidgin has it pretty much out of the box, and I vaguely remember Trillian having it (way back in the day). Even Firefox has a simple one.

I agree, a spell checker (on-the-fly preferrably) would definitely help me too.

Another vote here! The way it works in pidgin is excellent.

In my day, if you misspelt something you got a black eye from Mr. Webster, who somehow managed to fly out from the darkness bonking you square in the face.

Not to turn this into a huge flame thread, I use IM for many professional services. I wouldn't like deal to go sour just because I was typing quick and dirty at the moment.

Although, I definitely see where your coming from. The second I find a copy of ol' Webster in Germany, I'll let you know.

If you look in the default yaml in the digsby program files folder spell check is an enabled option, so apparently it is to be expected

we've wanted to put in spell check for a long time, it seems every app has a built in spell-checker now (even firefox checks text fields nowadays).

as is the case with all of the feature requests you guys have come up with, we have though of lots of them before and would love to do as many as we can.

We are really happy to see what you guys want from Digsby and we'll do our best to provide.

however, we are focusing on fixing our bugs at the moment. bugfixes are the highest priority, and features will come after.

I don't want to sound discouraging, but don't get expect spellcheck (or any other new features) any time soon.

We're trying to make Digsby be awesome at what it does, and once we're done with that, we will make it do more (and be awesome at that!).
