User online, message never sends...

For some reason, some of my users whenever I try to send an IM to them, it doesn't get sent.. When I look at their icon, it's gray showing they are offline when they are clearly online...  I was able to chat with them with other services but with digsby, it doesn't let me... any way to fix this?
