I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but Digsby will not start for me. I've ran system maintenance and Virus scan, I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, in different directories, but it still will not open.

I'm running Vista 32-bit with 1917 MBs RAM, Dual core Intel at 2.00 GHz and I have admin rights.

On. Not entirely sure how to turn it on, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Try installing this (microsoft.com link).

We try to install it during the normal installation process but I've heard stories of it failing for some users.

I'm having the same problem with Digsby. It will not start at all. I've also tried reinstalling it, but the same problem persists. I'm running Windows XP with 1GB ram, Centrino Duo core. Any help is appreciated.

Kalanosis-

Give Mike's suggestion a try first smile Devs are good like that, but if that doesn't work..you might try running it as administrator in Vista.

Digsby has been running fine on my Vista 32 bit system, till today.  Now it won't start.  I have installed the file suggested earlier on the posts with no luck.
Before I uninstall and reinstall is there any other suggestion?

I just noticed sometning weird that may help with the troubleshoot. I went to the Digsby folder, to find all of the files and doublecheck to see that they all installed when I noticed that the files, even the Digsby.exe file, was missing. When I uninstalled it, several files returned: Uninstall.exe, Support, and Documentation in the Support folder, nad Digsby.exe in the root folder.

However, it would not allow me to run it, saying that the shortcut no longer exsisted, which I expected. I had just uninstalled it.

I will attempt another install, and update you if anything new happens.

EDIT: I noticed when downloading, it only downloads 17.1 of the 17.6 MBs of the installer.

I can not get into Digsby either. I could get into it on Saturday, but not since. I reinstalled it, and I have the whole C++ studio thingy, so I should not need that download. I have no idea what UAC is. I also have all 17.6 MB of the file installed.
I am using an XP laptop, with enough RAM.
Any help?

I had the exact same problem a couple of days ago. What I decided to do was uninstall and then download the exe file again. After installing again, it works fine now.
