Broadcast Status Updates to Networks

So you have a personal status for msn, facebook, and twitter (all supported by Digsby - which rocks!)
So how cool would it be if digsby had an option so that when you enter your status into 1 box it updates your status on all 3 of those networks!

I'm so tired of changing it in all three of them.  Don't get me wrong some people will want to have different status's on each, but it would be cool if it was an option your could turn on.

I don't use facebook or twitter, but I can see the point in it. Maybe I'll even start twittering when this gets implemented.

That's a very good idea!

As described here (http://forum.digsby.com/viewtopic.php?id=568), I think it would be great with a setting which allowed you to select what networks/IM protocols your status updates would be broadcast to.

great idea, a lot like @mystp's idea.
Give them the option of which social networks to sync their status with, would be great!

good idea. I vote also for ICQ, Jabber and other supported protocols to change their status

One problem with this is that there is a Facebook application that updates according to your Twitter already.  I like that my Facebook friends can see that I am "twittering" through that message.

Definitely would be up for it if I had options as to what got updated, though!

Got a response from a digsby developer...

"We will add status broadcast in the future. We want to figure out how to let you choose which services to set it on in anintuitive way. For example I may want IM status not to affect anything else, twitter status to also set facebook but facebook to not set twitter. We need a gui that let's users do this but is not cluttered."

question for developers of digsby: what is the status of this feature??? i would appriciate this to be done... thanks in advance :-)

You can sync your facebook and twitter updates already using external methods (the Twitter app on facebook).

I'm sure there's a similar way to keep twitter & myspace in sync.

I don't really see this as necessary at all.  This is something better left as a service rather than client feature.  That way if you update Twitter somehow besides digsby, facebook still gets updated.

If it is implemented I really hope it is an Opt-IN setting, as if it starts broadcasting my twitter updates to facebook, my facebook status will be updated twice.

Would LOVE to see this implemented. Voted!
