Hiding the ..is available / ..is away messages?

Hey guys,

I'm often getting flooded by these messages as I sometimes leave windows open during the night or just when I'm not at home.

Is there a way to turn these messages off? I tried looking through some of the files (my current conversation theme is PurePlastics) and in base.css I managed to hide the status-block (.status_left) but I couldn't find the code for the actual message. Just changing the hight to 0 should do, if only I could find what to change.

mine don't show status changes and i really wish it did.  i'm using the basic conversation theme.  what do i need to add to it to make it show status changes

I'd really like to see this feature too, I often leave a conversation window open for a while in the background and come back to it later to have to scroll way up to find the last real message because of all the status change messages that I didn't care about.

Or maybe suppress the message if the window isn't in the foreground, I don't know.  There have been a few posts about it.

Instead of disabling them, do what MSN does and put them at the top where it shows from and to, only showing the latest one.

one way to get rid of the status is to go into the folder of the messageskin, and there erase everything in status.html. restart digsby and its gone.

unfortunantly its back every time digsby updates, so yes, a better solution would be great.

This would be a huge win for me to just hold a conversation with a few MSN users.

MSN Messenger, by default, will put you into Away mode if you enter a fullscreen application (or Remote Desktop and presumably several others). It's really annoying when chatting with people on dual monitors who jump back and forth.
