Firefox will not affect your browsing speed unless you decide to go and install a ridiculous amount of add ons.

Even than it shouldn't effect your bandwith (which he is testing at that site). And Chrome is fast, yes, but it's not showing the title attribut proper, doing it's own special css interpretation and has no good bookmark and downloads-managing.
Not everything is perfect^^

you forgot to mention that Chrome does not support the whitelisting/blacklisting of cookies.

Now that Chrome has extensions, there isn't much point in using Firefox. Chrome is infinitely faster, and doesn't take hours to configure.

Sorry but I don't find Chrome faster at all and I also didn't have to spend hours configuring Firefox.

I assume you are talking about JavaScript as opposed to just the speed of retrieving a page and all it's contents and rendering them on a display. The speed difference between JavaScript engines these days is pointless. Yes you may save a few milliseconds on a site like Gmail or Google docs which are JavaScript heavy but you won't notice it. All people are really concerned about is how fast the web page they have requested appears on the screen in front of them.

As to benchmarks/reviews
http://cybernetnews.com/browser-compari … ari-opera/
http://www.electronista.com/reviews/bro … afari.html
http://sixrevisions.com/infographics/pe … -browsers/
http://www.consumersearch.com/web-browser-reviews
http://internet-browser-review.toptenreviews.com/

As to Chrome it's hard for anyone to reliably benchmark it as they bring out a new version almost twice a week. They also have weird versioning as they had betas of both 3 and 4 out. Hell Google has even admitted it has already asked the makers of V8 to make a new version.

On a slightly different note Firefox are still fine tuning their new JavaScript engine and Opera has been working on a whole new rendering engine and Javascript engine for about 18 months now which will be released in Opera 10.5 when everything is stable. Oh and IE9 is currently being worked on and Microsoft also has a department working on a browser they have codenamed Gazelle.

Hi.
I am using Google chrome and haven't disabled internet explorer. When I first turn on the computer I get an error message each time. I report the error but this is getting annoying. What to do?

the actual text of the error message is very important in figuring out what the problem is and how to rectify it. otherwise the only advice i can offer to make sure you don't get the error message is to never turn on your computer.

how to report a bug
Got an idea for a feature? put it on the wishlist!

I've found Chrome to be buggy. Maybe after a couple of generations it will be worth using, but for now FF is the winner for sure!

I for one am a big fan of Google Chrome - it is much faster.  I am sure over the next few months they will iron out the little annoying bugs and gliches. If I have to pick Firefox is still my favourite

I've used it a few times but due to the lack of features, I'm sticking with firefox.

Chrome is one of the fastest , if not the fastest browsers out there - say goodbye IE and FF.

I liked IE until I used firefox. It will take allot to convince me to change but I will give Chrome a go!

Chrome is the only browser I've used for months now.  It's fast, relatively lightweight, the idea of running each tab in its own process is very nice.  And it's secure enough for my mind to be at ease.

i won't use Chrome because Google makes it and they have a vendetta against my privacy ;P
btw does anyone know how to use something other than the default 'Safebrowsing' within Firefox? ;P perhaps a Microsoft database?
i don't really want to rely on teh GooG for anything
