Question about second Twitter window (Alerts window?)

Newbie question here:

In the Twitter window there's an "Alerts" section under the "Status" section at the top. If I have an alert I can click on the the appropriate "alert link(?)" and it opens a second Twitter window where I can click between the timeline, mentions and directs tabs. This feature is very handy as I don't have to login to Twitter website itself to check these.

However, when there's no Alerts in the Digsby Twitter window there's no link to bring up that second window. Is there a way to bring up that second Twitter windows without having any new alerts?

And what do you call that second Twitter window by the way?

doble click the twitter tray/buddylist icon to get the window.
I would call it just that way, and the list that flips out wen you click once is a jumplist for me... don't know what's the official names are here-

i don't know, i just clicked it and it worked... if you did not come along that idea, it's not that obvious, therefore not intuitive i guess
btw. next (public) update will bring some enhancements for twitter.
