I would love to be able to utilize Google Talk's file transfer. In the Talk desktop app it will sense if the other user is also using the app or a web based version and show the file transfer button accordingly.

Google made up their own file transfer, and didn't implement standard jabber file transfer.  Further, the new jingle standard doesn't jive perfectly with google's jingle.  Until I can get google's libjingle into digsby, this is simply not going to work.

Over the time I have gotten used to ZScreen... using this program I send a file to filebin.ca and give the URL to the other person.

Basically with this program, you can hit Ctrl+F6 to do a thing called "Clipboard Upload". It is not limited to files. I upload images to tinypic.com, imageshack.us etc. When you hit Ctrl+C to copy a file/image to Clipboard and hit Ctrl+F6, the program will automatically upload this file and give a URL to the clipboard.

If you wanna check this out: http://code.google.com/p/zscreen/downloads/list

To reopen this thread, after a little search i found the sourccode of the jinglelib: http://code.google.com/p/libjingle/downloads/list and http://code.google.com/intl/nl-BE/apis/ … ndex.html.  I think you devs already found it too but if you havent, could you please try to implement it in digsby? smile
I also noticed that a new version of the lib is coming (http://code.google.com/p/libjingle/wiki/FAQ Updated May 28, 2010): "While there hasn't been an update to the public version of libjingle for a while, a version of libjingle internal to Google has been under continual development. We are currently preparing an update to the public version. In the meantime, you can continue developing with version 0.4. Updating to a newer version later shouldn't be a problem.".
Maybe consider to build the 0.4 and then update when the new version is there?

I hope you consider it and implement it in Digsby:)

Thx
