Dear community,
Let me first introduce myself. I'm the creator of digsbies.org which hosts digsby skins, emoticon sets, sound sets and the digsby wishlist. The site is 1 year and 11 months old today, receives around 300 unique visitors each day and more or less all downloads for digsby are done through the website.
I've had much joy working on the site and getting to know both the digsby developers and the community, but unfortunately I just don't have the time needed to run the site anymore. It was a hard decision to finally make, but as those of you that have been following probably have seen, I haven't been very active with the site, this forum or on IRC lately. Mainly this has to do with a change in my real life situation and the fact that I had to stop using digsby when I bought a Mac about a year ago (buhu, I want mac support!).
However, I want the site to remain and I see a lot of potential in the site. That's why I now would like to find someone who would like to take over and host the website. If I don't find anyone that I deem qualified I guarantee that the site will still remain as it is today with only (minor and sporadic) security updates, so don't be afraid, it will not go away
I'm looking for a dedicated web designer/developer to take over the site. With the right person behind the wheels, I'm convinced the site can reach far! You will have to host the site yourself, but as a security measure for me and the community, I would like to remain the owner of the digsbies.org domain name as that could let me re-erect the website in case the new owner of the website fails to run it. Other than that, the right person will take over the site completely with its source code, database and ad income.
Everyone may apply, but include at least the following in your application:
Full name Where you are from Websites you have made/run or run today Your username in this forum A text about you, what you know about web technology and what your vision for digsbies.org would be (feature ideas, goals etc.) Experience with the Drupal CMS system is a big plus if you don't want to develop the site from scratch and use the current source code (a bit messy, be warned!).
Send your application to webmaster [at] digsbies.org by Sunday the 31th of January. I'm looking for a dedicated and trustworthy person.
Site stats the last month (19th of December - 19th of January)

Stats from web server

Various stats:
Average daily Google Adsense income: Approx 0,8 USD Average daily Google Adsense income last month: Approx 0,4 USD (Ad income has a lot of potential for the right person) Highest unique visitors in one day: 2342
Due to lack of maintenance and promotion (I was very active in these forums before which generated a lot of traffic to digsbies.org) the site receives less visitors now than in the glorious days when I was active. Average daily visitors was 500-700 then and ad income 3-4 USD per day.

This implies that in some way or the other, sometime in the future you might return as the operator of this website. Rest assured, chances are you will return, as soon as mac support is implemented.
So in an indirect sort of way, if you're just temporarily retiring, you could hand over the reins to steve or the other devs... That way. you'll know its in safe and responsible hands as long as you're in your retirement (although that just might require some coaxing... them are quite busy already!)

I think it should be merged with the digsby.com site. It will help the casual user find out about the customization abilities of digsby and help that community grow more. As it is now, im sure a pretty high majority of users dont know much about digsbies.org.

Hopefully someone will be interested in picking it up! We'll leave this topic stickied until someone is found eia.
As for merging it with digsby.com, I think there's a real value on keeping it community owned and operated. Though I think we should promote digsbies.org more prominently on the official site.
I'd volunteer to take it over but have no web development experience and little time. That, and as I said, I think community owned is the best place for it right now.
I'm the one that draws pretty pictures on the screen! (AKA a GUI Dev) Digsbies.org is currently semi-functional, hopefully it will rise again! Stay tuned! Talk to us on IRC: #digsby on irc.freenode.org I has a twitter: @Brok3n_Halo

I too think it should be merged with the main website.

I've received two applications and will give the site to one of them. I haven't had the time to sit down with this yet, but I just wanted people to know that I don't need more candidates

I've just switched nameservers for digsbies.org to point to Deliriums web server. Congratulations!
I wish him good luck and hope he will bring the site to new heights!

Well digsbies.org is clearly down (and may have been for a while since I haven't been around in a while), so where can we find digsby skins now?

It hasn't been down for long, I'm guessing just a day or two. I've sent an e-mail to Delirium (the guy I gave the site to) about getting it back up.

Updates can be found here.
Edit: Also, locking thread to keep this from floating back up making people think they're looking for new people right now.
