I just bought a new Mac and I can not use digsby. I must say that I am disappointed that I have lost the ability to use this app. I have been using it on my PC sense i came out and it is a wonderful app.

Is there any plans to support Mac?

We do have plans to support mac in the near future. you can signup to be notified at http://www.digsby.com/signup/maclinux/

In the mean time if you really wanna use digsby in the mac you can always use VMWare Fusion or Parallels. I know this isnt the best way but its a temporary solution.

If you need help getting this running feel free to contact me.

In the mean time, you could always use Adium (www.adiumx.com).  A great app for the Mac IMO.

When you say near feature, can you give some kind of indication of what you mean.  3 months, 9 months...a year?

um, I'm pretty sure near <= a year, but I can't give you a firm answer, it's just not clear yet.  I'm think Kevin and Jeff, maybe Steve are hoping for sooner rather than later.

(they're the one's with macs)

I'm hoping for a linux version soon, too.  Gotta clean up my home network.  Digsby native on Ubuntu 8.04 would be the s---.

mac and windows i think sucks in general. i prefer ubuntu any day. only reason i use windows right now cause alot of people be wanting me to test there products and so forth. which requires windows. and if digsby ever has audio and video on a ubuntu version, ill be dumping windows forever.  cause ubuntu does not have many real time audio/video.

1 thing i am hoping also is that digsby will at some point have its own video chatrooms.  ppl could create a chatroom, and bring more people to digsby so they could join the video chatroom.

This is why everyone is entitled to their own opinions smile

I personally can not wait for my Mac version smile

I'm running Ubuntu and I've already signed up in the http://www.digsby.com/signup/maclinux/ page. But is it going to be to test the beta version? Because I would like to test it ASAP (I can't wait... tongue)

i dont understand why anyone running OSX wouldnt use adium.

Digsby is awsome, But they really should be spending all their resources making the windows version as good as it can be, even duplicating features from adium if they can.
I doubt they will be able to make any money releasing digsby for OSX, when adium is better (for the platform), and free...

I'm surprised no one has put this on the wishlist yet. Let's show the devs we want digsby on our Mac - go vote!

that's probably because the developers have already announced that a mac version is coming eventually. But while we're at it: I'd rather see Ubuntu/Linux support

True, but if 1 million Mac users came to the dotSyntax office and said that they'd start using digsby tomorrow if it was released, my guess is that they'll focus harder on it smile

y'know, if dotSyntax could get out Digsby for all three platforms within the time frame of a year....They'd be at the top of the game.  I mean, take Trill Astra...You hear about Mac version...cuz they wanna integrate iPhone capabilities..but no Linux version yet.  Not even talk of one even tho there is a clamoring for it. smile  I think if Digsby could find a way (in the future..perhaps as an add-on or upgrade perhaps?) to do native audio/video and supported by all three major platforms...well, simply put, the sky would be the limit. smile I can see the Linux crowd coming out of the woodwork like the Polish people for GG support. smile

I'm anxiously awaiting a Mac version as well.  I use ADium right now, but I have the digsby widget on on my website and would like to stay connected to it at home as well as at work

psha.  I can't promise anything, but I figured I'd stir the pot.

I used to develop digsby on ubuntu, including GUI code.

I was gonna make a longer post, but, I think the above is in the realm of "nuff said".
