Changing Avatar for MSN Messenger (or other networks)

Hello,

I just found about digsby and I love it so far. Great set of features, nice skin and colors and fast.

I'm looking where do I set my custom avatar for msn messenger (and other networks). I know that Google Talk network is using the avatar I specify in the Gmail settings, but I can't seem to find where to specify my avatar for other networks, or maybe specify a global avatar for all my networks.

I you are talking about what I think you are talking about, you can go to preferences then General & Profile and there is an option to change your avatar right there.

After changing my avatar in the preferences, I can see my new icon, but my yahoo messenger friends are still seeing the avatar that was on my yahoo account.  Is there a way for Digsby to override the avatar pulled from my yahoo account, or do I have to go into yahoo and clear the avatar?

No i do not believe you can yet.

I've not used Yahoo in a while but it used to be that the preferences for you Avatar were actually copied from the settings you had for your profile.

If it's still that way then you would have to change the icon in your profile to get it to change the avatar that people see when you talk to them.

I'm not sure yet if digsby can change the avatar's on certain networks as things like Yahoo and AIM are pretty tight with stuff like that.
