Outbound text formatting

I like putting my touch on IMs. I prefer to to type in Times New Roman. Now I know I can change it, but I want my contacts to also see I'm typing in this font. Maybe you just like typing in bright green font to annoy people, or white on black background, but I miss being able to do this in....every other IM client I've ever used.

Are you sure? I asked in IRC and they said it doesn't work for them either, and when I send messages to myself on multiple accounts, it doesn't work.

Well, I use Arial for my IMs (have for years), but I make my text orange, and when I loaded my copy of AIM to test it, it came across as orange there.
